When Captain Nathan Kelso has a falling-out with his commanding officer, Major Matthew Hackett, Company 'C' is unofficially disbanded - but not for long, with broncos and Apaches raising hell throughout the territory. Then a patrol under a green lieutenant is all but wiped out, and an incident involving two rabid coyotes results in Hackett being badly injured.
