Trapped — Amanda Byrd
A successful psychologist by day. A crime-fighting monster protecting the world from evil by night.
I'm part vampire. Part werewolf and perhaps, more importantly, part human. I'm a melting pot of creatures that have been mutually wary of each other for centuries and are completely clueless about what being human even means.
Luckily, I still have that part of me intact, even though I'm hanging on to my humanity by a very thin thread.
Ok fine. You got me. I'm a monster,the stuff of nightmares, but in my defense, I'm the "good" kind of monster, if there is such a thing. I mete out my own special brand of justice, not unlike the serial killers that prey on other serial killers, rapists and general scum of the earth.
It sounds like fun at first, but trust me, it isn't. How I came to be in possession of these beasts is another story, and I'm trying to find a cure to rid me of these two blood-hungry beasts and become fully human again--without killing myself.
I've managed to conceal myself from the world all these years, but recently, I've gained a follower of sorts. A stalker. The monsters in me can sense them, and what they feel is making them really anxious. I'm not getting friendly vibes either, you know what I mean? It may get really, really messy. I mean, come on I'm a monster after all.
So if you plan to stick around, might I suggest you wear a rubber suit?
