Hero at Large
RESCUE MISSION

When Leslie Allen went to the Air Force Pararescue school, it was to report on the operation to her employer, the Department of Defense. She knew she would encounter opposition because she was a woman, and because the school guarded its privacy.

Convincing Commandant Ted Logan that her mission to save the reputation of his school was as important as his job to rescue downed pilots behind enemy lines wasn't an easy task.

Leslie climbed through snowdrifts, rappelled down mountains, and camped in the cold to capture Ted's grudging respect. But capturing his heart would be her biggest rescue mission of all.
