Bad Intent — Wendy Hornsby

Investigative filmmaker Maggie MacGowen finds herself in the urban war zone of South Central L.A. when a ruthless politician decides to get the minority vote by resurrecting a fifteen-year-old cop-killing case. He claims the police, including MacGowen's boyfriend, Mike Flint, coerced three black children into pointing the finger at an innocent man. It's a situation sure to ignite the spans to bring Mike's career down in flames.

Setting out to clear Mike's name, Maggie takes her camera and her sleuthing skills into the heart of an embattled city. But the witnesses she interviews start turning up dead. Cops, politics, and murder make for a devastating mystery that Maggie must solve--or lose what is dearest to her heart.
