When fifteen year old Zoe Carter finds out that her boyfriend of ten months got three of her best friends pregnant in April, it shakes her to the very core. To make things worse, the rest of her best friends have known about it since it happened and didn't even say anything to Zoe. At this point, Zoe does not think that things could get worse. However, she will soon learn that things are not always as they seem. Shortly after she learns about Jacob's betrayal, Zoe and her Aunt Renee learn that Zoe's Uncle Ryan is to be deployed to Iraq three days before he was supposed to. With said, it hurts both Zoe and her Aunt Renee dearly. The pain that they both feel will put Zoe's relationship with her Aunt Renee to the test. With all of this pain going on inside of Zoe's heart, she knows what she must do to feel better. While dealing with the anger and pain that she feels, Zoe knows she must also forgive the people who have hurt her.
