Every man in Carrie's life wants to control her. That's just the way it is. So, when her ex-military father needs an undercover husband and wife team to root out a traitor, she endures the selection process. From self-defence training to sniffing sweaty tee-shirts, she holds her own.

The soldier picked to infiltrate her dad's factory is everything she's learned to hate in a man. Built like a Welsh mountain, Bryn is an unlikely partner whose detective skills expose her shameful secrets. Battling deeply-buried terrors, Carrie faces setbacks designed to stretch her tenuous grip on reality to its limit. His gentle kindness pierces her armour, and mutual interests restore her tattered self-esteem.

Tensions ramp up as the factory manager is kidnapped and a security breach catapults the firm into an unsavoury global arena. Carrie ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time. With her track record, the chances of surviving unscathed are slim.

This suspenseful military thriller will appeal to readers who like character-driven stories with laughs, thrills, and unexpected romance.

Interview with the Author
Q: What makes the Hostage Series special?
A: I wanted to create something which had all the elements of my favourite books, so it seethes with suspense, romps with action and melts with romance. My favourite books are page-turning thrillers, written in a lean, mean style where the reader quickly learns not to trust anyone. But above all, the stories are driven by characters who intrigue, exasperate and make you laugh out loud. You can be the judge of whether I achieved that.

Q: How do the stories fit together?
A: Fox Among Wolves introduces us to the Tremayne family, focussing on Ginny, a young engineering student who ends up in the middle of a military operation.
Wolf in Sheep's Clothing features Ginny's cousin, Carrie, who reluctantly joins a team of soldiers hoping to be selected for Mr and Mrs undercover roles.
Big Bad Wolf follows the action as it moves from a Welsh factory to a Middle Eastern goat farm, and features four of the characters from the earlier stories.

Q: The stories have dark themes running through them, why feature such a controversial topics?
A: It wasn't deliberate, the characters brought most of the baggage with them. Ginny negotiated her worst fears in the first story, the second saw Carrie's struggle with the unhealthy attention of her stepbrother and the resulting bulimia. But I never envisioned what would happen to my lovely ladies at the hands of misogynistic terrorists as the story unravelled. These strong women fight back, offering great advice and coping strategies for any victims of sexual violence.

Q: Where does the action take place?
A: The first story is set in the English countryside - a huge house in the middle of nowhere. After some decidedly different selection techniques in the second book, the mission moves to a small factory in mid-Wales. In the final installment, the team are split between England and Wales before a brief foray into a Middle-Eastern goat farm and the climax in a desolate French gite.
