A Murderous Ghost
Clare Rand was fascinated by the valuable rare books in her uncle's library. One of the old volumes, the famous Spanish Book of the Gospels, had a strange history. The num who had devoted her life to the manuscript had requested on her deathbed that the book never leave the church where she had worked on it. But her wish had been ignored and every collector who subsequently owned the Gospels had to deal with the angry ghost of Sister Valencia. Each of their families suffered some kind of tragedy.
Clare refused to take the story seriously: she didn't believe in ghosts or curses. But when strange things began happening in the old house on Mount Vernon Street and it became obvious that someone was trying to kill her, the ridiculous legend seemed horrifyingly real!
