The Dead City — Gabriele D'Annunzio

Gabriele D'Annunzio (1863-1938) was a popular Italian poet, playwright and novelist. He was known for his political activities and daring exploits during the First World War, and was ennobled by the King of Italy in 1924 as Principe di Montenevoso.
