River of No Return — Richard Parker

Captain Victoria Mayne is facing the greatest threat of her career, operating covertly against Iranian-backed terrorists -- a coordinated conspiracy involving Iran and China, preparing for a surprise attack against an unnamed, yet vital, target in the Middle East. Victoria meets with America's top-secret “walk-in” agent, an Iranian general, but is ambushed, her agent murdered. Blamed for the disaster, she is forced to resign. Victoria, however, is now on her own turf, the mountains and her sacred river, the mighty Salmon, where she grew up as a girl. Here Victoria can turn the tide on these hired killers and finally uncover the Iranian plot against America.
