They were cousins, riding partners: Drifter, a white American, and Lopez - half-Mexican, travelling the southern border trails of the USA. Their money-raising schemes were often shady, sharing the risks and rewards: like the time Drifter turned in his 'wanted' partner, Lopez, and later sprung him. However, things changed when loot, in the form of church treasures, came their way. Clashing with posses and renegades their lives were at risk. Could they ever gain a more settled way of life?
