About the Author 2014 A Native of Southern California, Clytie Koehler is a retired attorney. She currently lives in San Diego County with two teenaged granddaughters and a cat. She spent a significant part of her legal career as a legal aid attorney which both fulfilled a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of others and provided her, along with her own early life experiences, with a great deal of inspiration for her first novel, Guava Gravy. Clytie has been an avid reader from the first moment she discovered her fascination with words, their meanings, and the wonderful illumination a well put-together collection of them can evoke. In other words, ever since she learned to read. Clytie first discovered Jane Austen's brilliance during her early teens. There were a great many wonderful authors whose contributions brightened her life, but of them all she has loved the works of Jane Austen longest and best. Lizzy's Choice was Clytie's first ‘Austenesque', or Pride and Prejudice what-if, novel.
