Josie

I don't ask for much in life -- unless you count Ethan Lancaster's attention as "much." He's gorgeous, available, and unfortunately only notices me when I'm falling on my face. (Figuratively and literally.) My best friend, Cami, says she can get Ethan to talk to me, but so far the only one having any conversations with him is Cami.

Why is it so easy for her to get what I want?

Cami

I've had Rebecca Lobo's WNBA statistics memorized since I was ten years old. The only statistics Josie has memorized are Ethan Lancaster's phone number, address, and locker combination. So it's unfair that Josie is better at basketball and a shoo-in to be chosen as the player who gets to run drills with Rebecca during an upcoming basketball demonstration. I mean, Josie hardly aims when she shoots. I actually try. Josie says she can help me improve my game, but so far the only thing that's improving is her score total.

Why is it so easy for her to get what I want?

Going head-to-head with your best friend is never easy, on the court or off.
