Kate Lawrence is a single mom who is newly divorced and ill-prepared without a college degree or profession. She moves to her small Kentucky hometown to make a new life for her daughter and herself. Carrying emotional baggage with her, Kate is not sure she is ready for the man she finds living right next door.
