There were certain standards the beautiful, Mohawk maiden Mayla was expected to live up to as the daughter of their powerful Tribal Chief. Showing kindness to a sworn enemy, was certainly not one of them. But, when she faces saving the life of a wounded brave over letting him die, she chooses compassion over hatred. Washke, is a handsome and virile war leader of the Quendake (known as the Huron by the French). He awakens, finding himself under the care of an enemy shaman and medicine man instead of experiencing a torturous death at the hands of his captors.
