Cachet // First Impressions — Jane Ashford

A series of robberies at the palatial houses featured in Anitra MacBride's prestigious magazine Cachet implicates her staff. Anitra, totally baffled, accepts help from a total stranger, an Englishman she detests on sight but for some strange reason trusts, and who claims to have experience in criminal investigation. Then one of Anitra's employees is murdered and the case takes on an even more sinister aspect -- for the next victim appears to be Anitra.
