We live in blissful ignorance of the turmoil wrought by timeline tampering.  History is changed and we never know it.  The new past creates a new present that is accepted without question.  That is, if one is there to contemplate the story.  Those whose existence has been erased are less than dead - they just never were.

Harry is one of a small group aware of this travesty.  He has been tasked with restoring history, as best as possible, when others have disrupted the timeline.  Book One of the Broken History series deals with changes leading to American defeat in the Revolutionary War, a history in which the war never happens and the outcome when Cardinal Richelieu sells Canada to the Huguenots in 1629.
