Acting Sister — Sheila Burns

Sally knew she had done well when she became Acting Sister at the hospital. Before taking up the post she went for a holiday in Wales, during which she was stranded for a night in a mountain hut with a stranger. At the hospital, Sally had often been taken for her friend Barbie, and just before Sally left, Matron had surprised Barbie in a compromising situation. Barbie indignantly denied it, claiming Matron had mistaken Sally for her. When she returned, Sally had to face the music.
