Description
Fool's End
was named for the end of land on which the big old house sat, a dead end street of a promontory that went nowhere. It jutted into the ocean like a gnarled and solemn finger...and when Toby Stewart first arrived at the house coming as a surprise visit to her sister, Anne, she thought that the finger was pointing directly at her. It seemed the mark of death...for Anne was missing and soon Toby found herself in danger of her own life.
The house was well named, for it seemed inhabited by fools...fools who believed in unfounded legends, and who were ready to kill in their greedy search for a missing fortune. For Toby learned that Anne was dead, and in all the house her only ally was a nine year old boy!
