There is no doubt she can become accustomed to life here and understand the advantages of becoming a duchess, in spite of having to marry Denton to gain the title."

Spirited and attractive Melinda Draycort was bound to enjoy her social season. Lord Kenaird always seemed to be there to instruct her in the fine points of London society. He disturbed her, but she had no time to think about him because of Denton.

Denton's proposal of marriage took Melinda completely by surprise. He was persistent -- he couldn't believe that Melinda hadn't any interest in finding a husband.
