FACE IN THE FOG
The year was 1885, and lovely young Cecilia Jade Cummings stood along in the fog swirling through San Francisco. Behind her she had left her crippled younger brother on the wharf where they had disembarked from their long voyage. With mingled hope and fear she tried to see what lay ahead.
Then the mist parted -- and suddenly Cecilia was staring into a face too strong to be handsome, too striking to ever forget. There was anger in that face, and cruelty, and an iron will that would not be denied.
