Michelle Reid was born and raised in Manchester, England. Her mother was instrumental in fostering a love of reading in her five children. Reid often remembers the excitement of coming home to find a new stack of library books on the kitchen table. Before becoming a Harlequin Mills & Boon author, she worked a variety of jobs. It was somewhere between getting married and grandchildren that she decided to become a writer. She started out writing her stories by hand. Her first romance was published in 1988. To date, she has written over forty books in twenty years.
She continues to live and work in England and loves to travel whenever she can.
