Michelle:
This book is about the youngest Flannagan son, Ryan. He had been wreckless in his past and had been the cause of his father's heart attack. He was not looking into transferring to arson, which could cause some problems in his new love life. During a routine fire inspection, Ryan met up with Laura McKay and her deaf daughter. He told himself he wouldn't get involved, but somehow he did!
This book dealt with some tough issues. Arson, forgiveness, truth, and deafness. The sweetness with the growing number of Flannagan's is only the beginning! Ryan's character was very well developed, as was Laura's. I couldn't help but to get mad at Laura a time or two, but I completely sided with her when she chewed Ryan out for what he did. I still side with her in saying Ryan didn't HAVE to go to his supervisor with the information...
And the very end - the epilogue - made me cry! It was so sweet.
