Michelle:
I love the romance books when the author allows the couple to start out as friends and develop into more than during the book. I love the stolen kisses, holding hands, and talks of being a couple when the book isn't even close to being over!
This book is about Beth, who raised her three siblings, the youngest a newborn after their mother died during childbirth. She had always looked forward to the day she would be on her own and be able to travel. But as she was in her last few months of teaching, a teenager who was having a lot of trouble in school came into her life - along with her father, sister, and brother.
Samuel lost his wife two breast cancer three years earlier. He was just recovering from the anguish he had over her death - anger towards God! Beth helped him to find his way back. They were slowly finding their way to each other.
Then a storm came up that rocked their worlds. Beth received some news about her health that cause a wall to be built between the two for a short time. She had to give up her dream temporarily to be a missionary in Brazil. Samuel loved her, though, and they worked through that! The love he had was so strong that he made the hardest decision of his life!
This was just a sweet, romantic book full of hope, healing, and promise!
