Literally shipwrecked off the west coast of America, Dr, Karen Madigan had no ties to draw her back to Europe. So, after convalescing, she decided to by a general practice left vacant in Long Beach Peninsula by the death of an elderly GP. Unfortunately, the other local GP, Dr. Raif Calvert, had expected to inherit the practice, and at first he thought Karen had obtained it by unfair mean.
