Books in this series:
#1: The Reluctant Bride
#2: A Wedding in the Family
#3: The Forever Husband
It's one of those things that is required in a love-love relationship - TRUST! And this is something Angela Sanders did not have. She and her three children had just gotten out of a terrible relationship after her husband, Dan, was killed in a car accident. Dan was a chronic alcoholic and wasn't much of a husband and father. He degraded Angela until her self-esteem was almost gone.
But then Adam came into her life, and it was love almost from the get-go. They fell head over hills in love! BUT there's something from Adam's past that may just drive the two apart if it's revealed. Adam knows it must be revealed, but HOW???
This was a really good book. BUT I didn't like the final scene where they get back together...it just didn't click with me! He had told Angela in no uncertain terms that it would be okay, then suddenly he says it won't and tries to get her to leave. It's sorta like the tables were turned and they did a sudden personality change on each other...It just didn't match up with me...
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they married and loved the story, but the author seemed to have no idea where to go that last night...when they were talking in his office. She totally lost me!
Oh, and one more thing: I read the scene at the park over and over and over and never saw where he asked her to marry him. Is my book missing a page? Did I sleep through that part? They confessed their love to each other, but I never heard him "pop" the question...
