There were a lot of men who wanted Jackson Horne out of the way.



Lou Simmons hated Horne because Lou's daughter shunned her parents to live openly with Horne, who had rescued her from the Arapaho. It didn't matter that it was Lou who had begged Horne to go after her in the first place.
