Michelle:
The final story of Tiny Blessings focused on Ben's half-sister, Debra and her lively thirteen year old daughter, Mia. In this story, Mia is the faithful one and prays her mother will find her faith as well. Mia feels prayers are answered. First she gets a new uncle when Ben's adoption history is announced. Then she meets the mos wonderful man: Jonah, the preacher's son. Mia feels as if she just dropped into heaven!
While Debra's story isn't too earth-shattering (she lost her boyfriend thirteen year ago after discovering she was pregnant with his baby), Jonah's story is sad. He was a Marine in special unit stationed in Iraq. He's living with a personal hell as he remembers what happened in his past. Those memories may just keep him and Debra from ever getting together!
The Christmas story is heart-warming as we watch the two fall for each other. The mystery is quickly unfolding, and yes...it is who I thought it was ever since I read the seventh book!
Warning: a reader not reading these in order will be easily confused...
Everything was wrapped up nicely, though there is an opening for another series - one that I don't guess the authors chose to pursue...
