Connie:
NO SECOND CHANCE by Harlan Coben is 433 pages in paperback form. This is not part of a series.
This was one of the better books that I have read by Mr. Coben. It was filled with suspense from the first chapter. There are so many possibilities in who could have been the killer, kidnapper, that you forget some of the facts that are right in front of your eyes.
At one point I even suspected Marc. But, I think that was all part of the ruse. There are some interesting characters in this book and you like some and hate some.
This book on audio is read by Scott Brick and if you listen to this, it is like having a friend sit down in the afternoon and tell you a story. I really like the way that Scott Brick narrates a book and especially mysteries. I was listening to this until tape 8 and then the tape was damaged so had to switch to paperback to finish it. I still heard Scott Brick reading to me though, so that is the impression he leaves you with.
I thought I had read this before, but after finishing this book, I don't think I did. I might have started it at one time, but I am pretty sure I didn't finish it as I didn't remember the last half at all. I am sure it was just a book that might have been a lot like this one.
I am giving this 5 out of 5 stars and look forward to the next book by this authour.
