David Baldacci

David Baldacci

Virginia writer David Baldacci practiced law for nine years before becoming a full-time writer. As a student at the University of Virginia, he wrote short stories in his spare time. None of those met with much success. After three years of work, his first novel, Absolute Power, was published and became an immediate bestseller. It was also made into a movie starring Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman. His books have been translated into 45 languages and sole in over 100 countries, making him one of the bestselling writers in history.

When he’s not writing international bestsellers and young adult novels, Baldacci participates in charity work, including his own foundation for literacy, Wish You Well Foundation. He lives in Virginia with his wife and two children.
