Michael: Terrorists attack America's energy producing system. They blow up a dam in Canada and strike against an oil platform near Columbia. However, the person in charge of the oil platform is someone they didn't bargain on. Dewey Andreas is a former army Delta and runs the platform like an army general.
When the terrorists overcome Dewey and are about to complete their sabotag, Dewey vows that if he gets out of this alive, he will find out who was behind this and hunt them down. He'd exterminate the people who took over the platform and then exterminate their bosses and the bosses above them.
The attack coincided with the merger of two companies and their goal was to make the U.S. not have to rely on foreign governments for their energy supply.
As government officials try to find the answers, we learn that the mastermind of the attacks was someone who was placed in the U.S. as a child. He was to learn the ways of America and then plot a sudden and massive strike.
As exciting a thriller as I've read. The action flies off the pages. Dewey is a sympathetic character who the reader wants to succeed in his goal of providing a payback for the terrorists.
Even though some of the material in the book had been done before, thriller fans should get a charge out of this exciting novel.
