      About This Book

      Pla/cebo is the story of two partners who try to get rich by selling a dietary supplement relying for its efficacy solely on the placebo effect. They raise money from Wall Street venture capitalists and quickly hit the big time, but the partners become estranged, as the dominant one undertakes an unethical campaign to sell Pla/cebo+ as a cure for AIDS in Black Africa. The more principled partner publicly opposes his own company, which leads to an attempt on his life, a confrontation with his ruthless partner and a violent resolution of the crisis.
